Dhaka, Aug 03: Second and final Test between Bangladesh and South Africa has been finished as draw after the play has been washed out on the 5th day due to a wet ground field at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.

The rain shortened the match was on path towards an predictable draw after bad weather washed out the entire Day two, three and Day four’s play.

Even with comparatively clear weather on Monday morning, umpires determined to cause the outfield was not good to play and, so the 2 match series has been drawn.

Previous, South Africa had ended the opening day of the series final Test on a talented note after dropping the hosts to 246-8 at stumps on Thursday.

Pace lead Dale Steyn to steal the attention on the 1st day after becoming the second South African bowler after Shaun Pollock to reach the 400 wicket milestone. Steyn achieved this mark quicker than any other bowler in terms of balls bowled.

Rain dominated the whole Test series as the game in Chittagong had also been considerably in a weak position due to heavy shower throughout the first drawn Test.
